Makeup for a cause....

Hello Makeup Lovers,

As some of you may know I created a look to raise money for breast cancer research! It is such an awful disease and we need to use our talents to make a difference! I am sure that all of you know someone that is affected by Cancer and most likely, breast cancer. I have been at the Susan G. Komen race for the cure and to see all those people who's stories you could see written all over their face, is heartbreaking yet hopeful at the same time.

Read this info from the Web MD web site-

" Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women after skin cancer. Today, about 1 in 8 women (12%) will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in women (lung cancer is first). The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2012, about 226,870 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and about 39,510 will die from breast cancer.
Only 5% to 10% of breast cancers occur in women with a clearly defined genetic predisposition for the disease. The majority of breast cancer cases are "sporadic," meaning there is no direct family history of the disease. The risk for developing breast cancer increases as a woman ages. "

Please, Please take a few minutes to read the following article about breast cancer symptoms.
http://www.webmd.com/breast-cancer/guide/understanding-breast-cancer-symptoms We need to be aware and take our own health into our hands, literally- do your self-exams at home. There are web sites that can send you an email to remind you and apps on your smart phone- http://www.checkyourboobies.org/action/breast-self-check-mammogram-reminder/

I know it's scary..the thought of feeling a lump is enough to make you not want to check. But how much better to find something, get it checked out and if heaven-forbid it is cancer..get it taken care of early. It really just takes a few minutes and if caught early, can make a big difference.
Do it for for your family and for YOU!

I will be doing this again, using my skills to help raise money for charity more often- Hope you guys will show your support! I can't wait to see more pictures, keep them coming!!!

- Let's make a difference, together!
