Glamazon Spring Collab

HELLO!

I thought it would be so much fun to participate in Glamazon's Spring Collab! I racked my brain for weeks trying to decided what I would do. I searched for inspiration and had something in mind, but never-the-less- had to make it my own as always. Looking back, I would change a few things on it... but I think it turned out pretty good considering I haven't ever made a flower like this before. It's fun to try new things and it helps you learn and improve.

Products used:
Generic yellow concealer
Revlon Colorstay foundation 11.40 @ Ulta Applied with Elf Powder Brush 3.00 @ Target
Essence Eyeliner pen 2.49 @ Ulta
Nyx Eyeshadow base in white under 7.00 @ Ulta
L.A. Colors 5 color metallic eyeshadow "Ammunition" The white color under 5.00 @ Dollar General * I think you can skip this step, didn't seem to do much.
Nyx Cream eye shadow-pink 4.99 @ Ulta. Looking back I would skip this step or not apply the blue to that area first, I think that dried out the pink cream when I was applying it.
Bh Cosmetics 120 Color Palette- "Ultra Shimmer" I used the top palette, the only dark blue
Bh Cosmetics 120 Color Palette- "Ultra Shimmer" The shimmery blue next to the dark blue
Bh Cosmetics 120 Color Palette- "Ultra Shimmer" The shimmery pink in the same area as the blues
Lip Luster in Pink Flash from Sally's I am not sure they carry it anymore as it was clearance. Any pink/glittery Lip Gloss would work.
Elf small concealer brush 3.00 @ Target
Bh Cosmetics Classic Smudge Brush 3.94 online and even at that, that have sales all the time. This is my favorite brush for eye shadow! Packs it on really nicely.

1) The first thing I did was my foundation and concealer, which is actually backwards of how I typically apply my makeup. Too much fall-out, so I like to do eyes first. 2) Next I put a little of the eyeshadow base around where I wanted my flower shape. Then I used the Essence Eyeliner Pen to create the shape. This pen is awesome because it is sooo easy to use and doesn't smudge like to many others. Plus, it is so cheap- I am really into using this pen! 4) Then I put a little of the white L.A. Looks eyeshadow on my eyelid and right under my eyes. I was trying to make that part stand out a little more. I think you can just skip this step however. 5) Next I used the Bh Cosmetics Classic Smudge Brush and the Elf Concealer Brush to apply the dark blue color. The concealer brush helps get around the outer edges without going over your outline! 6) Then I just patted a little of the shimmery lighter blue over the dark blue to give it a lighter effect, I am really glad I did because it was a little too dark! 7) I then used the Nyx Cream Shadow on my lid and as the eyeliner. I am not sure that I am crazy about this, it seemed to be very drying and that didn't make me happy. It could be just because it was over the other eyeshadow, try not putting the blue on your lid and just the cream eyeshadow- that would probably work better. I wanted to give it a little more color so I used the shimmery pink next on the eyelid and as eyeliner. 8) Lightning Lash Mascara from Sally's in Electric Blue, then followed by a generic black on top. The Lightening Lash is FANTASTIC mascara, but the black isn't as good as the electric blue. I thought about keeping my lashes blue, but last minute went to black. As, Always I curled and primed my lashes first.
9) Lip Luster on my lips and that is all.

Seems like an awful lot of steps! If you did without the Nyx cream shadow, the L.A.Looks white, you would save some steps! Live & Learn.

I really had a lot of fun doing this and learned some things along the way. I am really excited for the next one and will take these opportunity's to try something new and learn and grow as an Artist. I can't wait to see what everyone else from Glamazon has done and if your not part of that group- You really want to check out my friends blogs posted below. There are some amazing people, friends and artist. They are really encouraging and one of the reasons I keep continuing on with Gorgeous-Glamour.
